Founder & Chairman
Adrian’s background stems from the Lloyd’s Market at the global brokerage Howden, learning the trade in the pre-eminent insurance marketplace. As a Broker, he negotiated reinsurance, placed binding authorities and also developed market-leading stochastic loss-forecasting models to estimate loss payouts and reinsurance pricing costs. He co-founded Quantemplate to address data challenges in the industry, successfully extending the business to the US in 2015.
His board role at Quantemplate has included stints in London, NYC, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley, allowing the business to draw upon the best practices applicable to enterprise technology, insurance and the financial markets. He currently works in London, assisting business development.
Head of Design
A member of the founding team, Tom gained his MA in Communication Design from Central Saint Martins, where he specialised in wayfinding – helping people navigate spaces. He subsequently worked for architects, applying a user-centred design approach to signage systems. Tom’s mission at Quantemplate is to untangle complex workflow problems to create a frictionless user experience.
Tom has spoken widely on the subject of UX design and co-founded the Design for Complexity meetup in London. He has taught at university level and is a Trustee of the Isokon Gallery.
